African Animal Adventure Safaris is based in Maun, the Gateway to the Okavango Delta. From here we offer easy riding in scenic surrounds, along the Thamalakane and Boronyane River systems, which drain away from the Okavango Delta. We often swim on horseback across the many river channels that feed through this prestine area. Although we are not riding within a wildlife area, the birding is fantastic, and as we venture further towards the Buffalo fence we occasionally see Elephant from a distance, as well as Kudu, and Steinbok.

RIDING OPTIONS INCLUDE:
Maun Boro Combination 2 night, 3 day package: USD290.00 per person including all meals and activities. (Excluding camping equipment, which we can arrange, should you not have).

Day 1:

Morning horse ride up to the delta gateway – approx 4 hrs ride.
Lunch and afternoon in Boro Village
Traditional dinner and overnight camping at Boro Village

Day 2:
Full day Mokoro (traditional dugout canoe) trip in the delta departing from Boro Village including a bush walk in the delta, and camping on an island.

Day 3:
Return to Boro village by mokoro, and then journey on the waterways back to Maun – either by Kayak (downstream!) or motor boat.

This is a great option should you be short of time, and wish to have a full Delta experience without spending a fortune!

Maun/Boro/Beka Ride: USD200.00 per person per night including all meals and camp facilities. This ride is more suitable for people who have riding experience, and can manage a horse in a canter.

Day 1:

Morning horse ride up to Boro Village – the gateway to the Delta – approx 3 hours.
Lunch and break at Boro.
Afternoon ride to Tsutsubeka Camp – approx 3 hr ride.
Overnight at Tsutsubeka Camp.

Day 2:
Morning delta ride and (after lunch) road transfer back to Maun, or alternatively stay another night with us riding in this beautiful pristine delta area.

"I have ridden in many different countries around the world and this has been the best horse ride yet. Watch out for the elephants... oh, and bring your swimming costume!"
